Specialty:
Training of Health workers Organized by RCK in association with the BPKIHS, Dharan; Two World Cancer Collaboration, Canada; Ministry of Health (Koshi Province Government) and Dharan Municipality Sunsari. 20 BPKIHS College students involved.
This program trained 50 healthcare workers (doctors and nurses) in palliative care. These trainers will subsequently train local health workers in every municipal ward, expanding healthcare access via tele-healthcare and physical assistance. Severe cases will be referred directly to Hospice Nepal.
Facts and figures:
1.Training of Nurse in Hyderabad under TOT 6 Weeks: Completed Training of Health Practitioner Lasata. Feb- March 2026 @ Rs.138,560.
2. Palliative Care Training to health care professionals, in Eastern Nepal on Palliative Care in BP Koirala Institute of Health Science, Dharan: Training conducted on 10-11 Augusts for 50 doctors and nurses of Oncology Department of BPKIHS.

Impact/Outcome: Strenghthened palliative-care skills among 50 healthcare professionals, creating a trained network to extend quality care to local communities through tele-healthcare, physical support and timely referrals.
