Rotary Strengthens Cultural Preservation Efforts

As part of its commitment to preserving local culture and heritage, the Rotary Club of Bhaktapur provided financial support of NPR 25,000 to Nasa Hema Baja Khala, Bhaktapur, a traditional musical group dedicated to safeguarding Nepal’s indigenous musical heritage. The support was made possible through funds generated from the club’s annual ROTA Gai Jatra initiative.

Nasa Hema Baja Khala has been actively promoting and preserving traditional Newar musical instruments and cultural performances, particularly among the younger generation. The group regularly participates in festivals, religious processions, and community events, helping keep centuries-old traditions alive.
